Since June 2013, the ZSK has combined the disciplines of urban and landscape planning, architecture, engineering, ecology and preventive health care.
The goal of the interdisciplinary team of scientists is to develop practical recommendations for cities and municipalities, which show how the ecosystem services of urban green infrastructures (e.g. shading, water storage and humidification) can be used to adapt the sustainable city of the future to the consequences of climate change.
With the funding of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, 17 sub-projects were successfully completed by 2024. The ZSK is currently funded by the TUM and consists of three ongoing projects.
On this page you will also find current information about the ZSK and its subprojects such as events and articles about the ZSK, own publications as well as interesting event information outside the ZSK, information about assiocated projects and the partners of the ZSK.
